South Point at Coal Grove
The old meets the new.
Coal Grove (4-1) has a veteran team with 19 seniors while the Pointers (1-4) have just 10 seniors.
But the real difference is the veteran lineup the Hornets will put on the field led by running backs Sebastian “Boo” Woods, Bubba Wood, Greg Bender and Jake Murphy plus a big, strong, and experienced interior line on both sides of the ball. Conversely, the Pointers have a lineup full of underclassmen including freshmen.
Fairland at River Valley
What appeared to be an easy game at the beginning of the season suddenly takes on a whole new look.
River Valley (1-4) lost to 4-1 Alexander last week 31-20 and rolled up 366 total yards including 276 on the ground. Trey Noble ran for 126 yards and also had 52 receiving yards.
Jacob Heffner and Kyle Brown give the Raiders more than one option.
Fairland (1-4) is trying to overcome turnovers and injuries that have stripped them of eight players including four starters.
