A rockslide Wednesday evening has caused the closure of the ramps to and from U.S. 52 West at the 17th Street/West Huntington (West Virginia) Bridge.

Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) District 9 public information officer Kathleen Fuller said the duration of the closure is not known, although ODOT crews will be working to clear the roadway all night.

With the ramps closed, traffic from the 17th Street Bridge to U.S. 52 West will be detoured on State Route 7 East and the Buffalo Creek intersection back to U.S. 52 West. Westbound U.S. 52 traffic to the 17th Street Bridge will be detoured on U.S. 52 West at the Charley Creek Road intersection and U.S. 52 East.
