Only two ordinances are set for Ironton City Council tonight.
The first reading of Ordinance 15-33, authorizing and directing the mayor to enter into a contract with Ohio University Southern for a police officer and declaring an emergency will be given as well as the third reading of Ordinance 15-30, providing for the equal housing opportunity to the city of Ironton.
A communications session will also take place prior to the above ordinances about a house being looked at and examined as a possible recovery home for women. The city wants to clarify that the house’s zone is compliant for recovery housing. As it stands, the house is zoned as a B-2, which is permitted.
Ironton council will begin at 6 p.m. in the council chambers on the third floor of the city center.
