Academy of Excellence set for July 20-24 at OUS

Ohio University Southern is celebrating 35 years of its Academy of Excellence summer camp coming up July 20-24 9 a.m. -noon each day at the Ironton and Proctorville campuses.
The camp offers a fun, educational summer experience for children in grades 1-6, and this year campers will have the opportunity to choose from a variety of classes.
Those in grades 1-3 taking part in Ironton will be able to choose from Fables and Fairy Tales, Computer Travel, My First Self Portrait, Junior Master Chef and Let’s Play a Game! Classes offered to Ironton campers in grades 4-6 are Self Portrait, Me, Myself and I, Weird Science 1 and 2 and Let’s Play a Game!
To those who take part in Proctorville, campers in grades 1-3 will be able to choose from Globetrotters, MAD Science, Kidding Around Yoga and Ballers 101. Classes offered to Proctorville campers in grades 4-6 are Globetrotters, MAD Science, Kidding Around Yoga, Full STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math) Ahead and Advanced Ballers.
A bonus Fun Fitness class will be available to all campers at both locations as well.

In addition to the Academy of Excellence, the Ohio University Southern Equine Program is hosting a “Horse Lover’s Camp” July 27-31 at the Ohio Horse Park in Franklin Furnace. Campers will broaden their knowledge on riding, grooming, horse behaviors and more. Each day will have a morning session from 9 a.m. –noon or an afternoon session from 1-4 p.m.
