If the adage is true that the only two certainties in life are death and taxes, then Dale Schwab can help with one of those.

This past Monday Dale’s Tax Service opened at 1901 S. Third St. in Ironton. Armed with a business degree and more than 20 years of experience, Schwab said one thing she has learned is many people simply don’t like doing their own taxes.

“If you don’t like crunching numbers then you won’t like doing your own taxes,” she said. “Some people also just don’t have time to do their own taxes. Those are some of the reasons I decided to do this.”

Monday also marked Schwab’s first day as an independent tax specialist with her own storefront.

“It was just time,” she said. “Several people have expressed interest in my services and because of that I thought now is as good a time as ever.”

Dale’s Tax Service offers all types of tax preparation, from basic W-2s and 1099s to small business taxes, farm and property rentals.

“When people come to me, they know they will receive quality service from someone who has vast knowledge of tax law,” she said. “I also offer everything at reasonable prices.”

Basic preparation at Dale’s tax service begins at $69 for both federal and state returns. As the complexity of the preparation increases, so does the price.

“I do offer special and discount pricing for dependents and students, including those in college,” she said. “Those I do for less than $69.”

Schwab also offers all IRS e-Filing options, as well as payroll and bookkeeping services.

“My expertise allows me to get people their maximum refund and deductions with the lowest tax liability,” she said.
