SOUTH POINT — Gloria “Boots” Shrewsberry, 76, of South Point, formerly of Floyd County, died Sunday, Nov. 2, 2008, at King’s Daughters’ Medical Center. She was born Dec. 2, 1931, in Bypro, Ky., a daughter of the late Ukel and Bertha Little Curry.
She was a homemaker, wife and mother.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Dawson Curry and Bruce Curry.
Surviving are her husband, Blane Shrewsberry; a son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Mikal Sky-Shrewsberry of Cooperstown, N.Y.; a daughter, Zandra Mounts of South Point; three brothers, Chester (Chet) Curry of Coleman, Ga., Gus Curry of Melvin, Ky., and Ellis Curry of Bypro; three sisters, Orangie Curry of Bypro, Melba Pippin of Winchester, Ky., and Mary Lee Crase of Union, Ky. and three grandchildren, Lindsay, Caley and Santaigo.
Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Nelson Frazier Funeral Home in Martin, Ky. with Louis Ferrari officiating. Burial will be in Curry Cemetery at Melvin. Visitation is after 11 a.m. Thursday.
