MARK SWIM

GEORGETOWN, Ky. — Mark Anthony Swim, 37, of Georgetown, died Thursday, Oct. 30, 2008.
He was the husband of Melinda Kouns Swim and the father of two daughters, Rachel Elizabeth and Sophia Isabella. He was the son of Floyd Swim, of Ashland and Clara Swim, of Iron Gate, Va., and was a brother to Terri Griffith of Iron Gate, Va., and Joe Swim of Ashland. Mark was an uncle to Wesley and Aloura Griffith, both of Iron Gate, and Melissa Swim, of Ashland. He was a son-in-law to William and Carlene Kouns, of Coal Grove, Ohio a brother-in-law to William Kouns, Jr., of Nicholasville, and an uncle to Katlin Kouns of Cross Lanes, W.Va.
Mark, a 1989 graduate of Greenup County High School, was attending Ashford University, and was completing his bachelor’s degree in organizational management. He was employed as a truck driver by Ryder Integrated Logistics in Georgetown. He attended Victory Life Church in Georgetown and was an avid fisherman who loved God and his family.
A memorial service will be 2 p.m. at Westwood Christian Baptist Church, 713 Wheatley Road in Ashland. In lieu of flowers, the family requests any donations may be made to Swim Educational Fund at any National City Bank. Marshall Steen Funeral Home in Ashland, Ky. will be in charge of the memorial service.
