Betty Collins, 66, of Ironton, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 18, 2008, at Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital in Russell, Ky. The Lawrence County, Ohio native was born April 25, 1942, the daughter of the late Luther and Hazel Delawder Faulkner. She is survived by her husband, Orville Collins, whom she married Feb. 5, 1958.
Mrs. Collins attended school in Coryville, was a homemaker and attended the Lorain Street Gospel Mission in Ironton.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Linda Cordle; and a brother, Billy Joe Faulkner.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by five sons and four daughters-in-law, Terry and Sherry Collins and Danny and Tammy Collins, all of Forestdale, Rick Collins of Ironton, Ray and Sheila Collins and Jeff and Ellie Collins all of South Point; two daughters and a son-in-law, Tammy Collins and Debbie and Jerry Burton, all of Ironton; 14 grandchildren 18 great grandchildren; and two brothers and sisters-in-law, Curtis and Linda Faulkner of Ironton and Ronnie and Jane Faulkner of Coal Grove.
Funeral services will be noon Thursday at Phillips Funeral Home with Brother Jack Pemberton officiating. Burial will follow in Zoar Cemetery. Friends may call 6-9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
