Morehead State downs Thundering Herd, 77-68

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (AP) — Angelo Warner scored 23 points and three other Morehead State players reached double figures Wednesday night in a 77-68 victory over Marshall.
Warner scored 16 points in the first half as Morehead State built a 50-37 halftime lead. Ryan Taylor scored to pull Marshall within six points, 67-61 with 4:45 to play, but the Thundering Herd would not get closer.
Warner hit three 3-pointers and finished 7 of 10 from the floor overall. Marquel Willis scored 11 points, and Karam Mashour and Kareem Storey each added 10 for Morehead State (3-4).
Taylor scored 13 points, grabbed 10 rebounds and had three blocks to lead Marshall (3-2). Shawn Smith and Austin Loop each added 10 points for the Thundering Herd, which shot just 23 of 64 for 35.9 percent from the floor.
