PROCTORVILLE — For the 15th year, Hall Funeral Home will have its Tree of Life ceremony for the families who have lost loved ones over the past year.
“Family members bring ornaments to the ceremony,” Erika Hall-Workman, said. “As the names of those that passed are called off, their family members bring up the ornament and place it on the tree.”
Gary Patton, oncology counselor at St. Mary’s Regional Cancer Center, will speak at the service to help families get through the holidays and offer ways to cope with their losses.
The service is every year at 1 p.m. on the Saturday after Thanksgiving.
“It honors the loved ones of the families,” Hall-Workman said. “It also gives the families something to remember them by.”
The ceremony usually gets anywhere between 150 and 200 people in attendance.
