LARRY DILLEY

Larry “Slick” Dilley, 71, of Ironton passed away Jan. 12, 2009, at home surrounded by all his loved ones by his side.
He was born April 12, 1937, to the late William B. (Sid) Dilley and Hilda Faye Dilley. He was also preceded in death by his father-in-law, Eugene Webb and his brother-in-law, Kenny Webb. He was a graduate of Windsor High School in 1955. He worked for Jack Wolfe Chevrolet until he opened his own body shop. Larry fought a courageous battle with cancer from June until time of his death.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Janice (Webb) Dilley; mother-in-law, Theda Webb of Ironton; daughter Teresa and Scott Wylie of Ironton; son Dean and Gi Gi Dilley of Columbus; daughter Dianna Isaac and companion Dave Wells; daughter Lori and Heath Brownstead of Ironton; and Tom Isaac of Ironton; grandchildren, Travis and Isabelle Wylie of Ironton, Todd Wylie of Flatwoods, Ky., Carly Isaac of Ironton, Justin Isaac serving in the U.S.A.F. in Minot, N.D., Bailie Brownstead of Ironton, Beau Brownstead of Ironton; two great grandchildren, Olivia Wylie of Ironton and Jonathan Wylie of Ironton; six brothers and sisters, Louise Bennett of New Mexico, Elnora and Norval Humphrey of Cincinnati, James Dilley of Ironton, William (Berk) Dilley of Cincinnati, Marcella Kelly of Ironton, Carl and Vivian Dilley of Ironton; special friends Mark, Matt, Hunter, Hollie, Zoie and Amanda Weber of Ironton.
Larry’s wishes were to be cremated. There will be no services. The family wishes to thank Dr. Lepanto and his staff and Hospice of Huntington. A remembrance of Larry’s life will be held at the home of Teresa and Scott Wylie, 1618 South 7th Street Ironton, on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. for family and all his friends. Ryan McKee and John Paul Patterson will be assisting. Hall Funeral Home Proctorville is in charge of arrangements.
