ROCHESTER, N.H. — Eloise Dishman Stamper, 80, of Rochester, formerly of Coal Grove and Ironton, died Sunday, March 15, 2009, at Rochester Manor. She was born Aug. 23, 1928, in Forestdale, a daughter of the late Wilbur D. and Mary B. Hanshaw Sparling.
She was a housewife; a member of the Sugar Creek Missionary Baptist Church and a graduate of Dawson-Bryant High School.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Clara Hankins. Surviving are a daughter, Phyllis K. Cyr of Gorham, Maine; a son, Joseph S. Dishman of Goshen, Ind.; a grandson; and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Sugar Creek Missionary Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Zoar Cemetery. Friends may call from 9 to 11 a.m. Thursday at the church. Tracy Brammer Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
