PEDRO — Nellie Marie Noble, 83, of Pedro, died Friday, April 3, 2009, at Bryant Health Center in Ironton. The Elliott County, Ky., native was born Nov. 13, 1925, the daughter of the late Logan and Virgie Stewart Stapleton. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith.
She was also preceded in death by a son, Lawrence Noble; a daughter, Helen Snell; sisters, Betty Littlejohn, Shirley Robinson and Jane Mullins; and brothers, Curt, Burt, Harold and Kenneth Stapleton.
Surviving are her husband, William L. Noble; three sons, Carl Noble and John Noble, both of Pedro, and Don Noble of South Webster; brothers, Paul Stapleton and Jay Stapleton, both of Ironton, and Elmer Stapleton of Wheelersburg; two sisters, Dorothy Mullins of Franklin Furnace and Edna Mae Horner of Ironton; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Phillips Funeral Home with the Rev. Leroy Blevins officiating. Burial will follow in Buckeye Cemetery. Friends may call from noon to 1 p.m. at the funeral home. To offer condolences to the family, please visit www.phillipsfuneralhome.net.
