William Rowe

Dec. 2, 1927-Aug. 28, 2014

William A. (Billie) Rowe, 86, of Ironton passed away on Thursday, Aug. 28, 2014, at Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital. The Ironton native was born Dec. 2,1927, the son of the late William and Agnes Lipker Rowe. Bill is survived by three brothers and sister-in-laws: Jerry and Jo Rowe, of Ironton, Thomas (Tom) and Bonnie Rowe, of Springfield and Ronald (Ron) and Nancy Rowe, of New Carlisle; and a sister Esther (Sally) Hargis, of New Carlisle. He is also survived by his dearly loved companion, Donna Callicoat, of Ironton; 27 nieces and nephews; and 47 great nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by brothers: Robert (Bob) Rowe, Jack Rowe, James (Jim) Rowe, Charles Rowe and Ralph Rowe; and two sisters Helen Leach Angle and Joanna Rowe. He was a 32nd Degree Master Mason of the Ironton Masonic Lawrence Lodge  #198 with more than 50 years of service, a World War II veteran of the United States Navy, a lifetime member and trustee of the Kelley’s Bridge Independent Church of Kelley’s Bridge. He was retired from Ohio Bell Telephone central office as a technician. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at O’Keefe-Baker Funeral Home with Don Delawder officiating. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until service time. Burial will be in Rowe family plot at Hecla Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Ray Collins, Jerry Rowe II, Jimmy Rowe, Aaron Stephens, Joe Rowe, Steve Leach John Rowe and Brady Rowe. VFW Post 8850 will perform military graveside services.

 

 

Clevis Maynard

Clevis Maynard, 86, of Proctorville, died Friday, Aug. 29, 2014, at St. Mary’s Medical Center, Huntington, W.Va. Arrangements are pending at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville.

 

 

Phyllis Gilkison

Phyllis Jean Gilkison, 80, of Proctorville, died Friday Aug. 29, 2014.

Funeral service will be conducted 2 p.m. Tuesday at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, by pastor Jay Love.

Visitation will be from 1-2 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
