Assault — Lawrence County Jail, Aug. 23, inmate alleged other inmates assaulted him.

Burglary — 1000 block County Road 131, South Point, Aug. 25, medication taken from residence.

Theft — 30 block Township Road 1079, Chesapeake, golf clubs taken from vehicle.

Breaking and entering — 1700 block State Route 243, Ironton, Aug. 23, air conditioners taken from residence.

Theft — 900 block Township Road 1233, Proctorville, Aug. 23, air unit stolen from residence.

Identity theft — 1600 block County Road 25, Pedro, Aug. 22, woman reported receiving a state tax refund check in her name that she was not supposed to receive.

Unauthorized use of motor vehicle — 1400 block County Road 56, Ironton, Aug. 22, vehicle stolen.

Theft, forgery — 300 block Township Road 1053, Proctorville, Aug. 22, checks forged from man’s bank account.

Domestic violence — 300 block Township Road 276N, South Point, Aug. 25, woman alleged male roommate shoved her into her vehicle; Steven Davis, 48, of the same address, arrested.

Breaking and entering — Jill’s Tumble World, 11000 block County Road 1C, Chesapeake, Aug. 23, owners alleged former employee entered business and stole money from register; negative contact with suspect.

Possession of drug abuse instruments, drug paraphernalia and identity theft — Grandview Inn, South Point, Aug. 22, deputy responding to disturbance at motel arrested female for drug abuse instruments and paraphernalia; woman allegedly lied about her identity; Laurisha Nelson, 26, of 1002 S. Tenth St., Ironton, arrested.

Burglary, theft — A private drive off State Route 7 in Chesapeake, Aug. 15, about $7,300 in tools taken from residence; homeowner allegedly found one suspect hiding in closet; Bradley Thacker, 18, of 71 Private Drive 4765 State Route 7, Chesapeake, arrested, as well as two juveniles.
