NORMA MALONE

IRONTON — Norma Jean Malone, 69, of Ironton, went to be with our Lord Saturday, April 11, 2009, at Our Lady Of Bellefonte Hospital Russell, Ky. The Lawrence County native was born Oct. 5, 1939, the daughter of the late Perlie O. and Eva J. Hysel Malone.
Jean was a homemaker and attended Tri-State Baptist Temple, South Point, and Gateway Baptist Church, Ironton.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Linda M. and Howard A. “Tony” Carmon of Ironton; three brothers and sisters-in-law, C. Edward and Joyce Malone of Ironton, William F. and Josie Malone of Springfield and George M. and Ruth Malone of Ironton; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Kathleen Holston, Leona and Charles Thompson and Doris M. and Gary Cremeans, all of Ironton.
She was the beloved “Aunt Jean” to John Malone, Peggy Morrison, Tom, Joey, Kevin, Wayne “Eddie” Malone, Peggy Bachart, Stewart “Bud” Malone, the late Tim Malone, Gary Malone, Brenda Myers, Sherry Gallagher, Kathy, Rick, Ronnie, Roger Holston.
Pat Thompson, Dean, Dale, Mike, Paula Slone, Lisa Bailey and Gary “Butch” Cremeans. In addition, there are 34 great nieces and nephews including Andrew, Chris, Steven, Walker, Amy, Michael Aldridge, Kacie, Amanda, Cara, Lakin Holston, Gary “Pete”, Katelyn Cremeans,
Travis, Zack and Sidney Slone; and two special cousins, Mildred Hackworth and Freda Ross.
A private funeral will be Tuesday at 12:00 p.m. at O’Keefe-Baker Funeral Home with pastor Scott Jenkins officiating.
Visitation will be 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Woodland Cemetery.
