LAKELAND, Fla. — James F. Shelton, 70, formerly of Ironton, Ohio, passed away Monday, April 13, 2009, at his residence in Lakeland, Fla.
James was born June 16, 1936 in Ironton, a son of the late Vernon and Fanny Roberts Shelton. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers Ray and John D. Shelton.
He is survived by his eight children, Patty, Elaine, Robert, Linda, Carol, Cathy, Cindy, and Christi; 21 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren; his brothers, Larry and Kenneth Shelton; and numerous nieces and nephews.
There will be an assembly at 2 p.m. Friday at Schneider-Griffin Funeral Home, Chesapeake, Ohio. Burial will be at Highland Memorial Gardens, South Point, Ohio. Condolences may be expressed at www.schneidrgriffin.com.
