Donna Faye Pemberton Wade, 79, of Ironton, passed away Monday, June 15, 2009, at King’s Daughters Medical Center in Ashland, Ky.
She was born Aug. 31, 1929, in Lawrence County, the daughter of the late Paul and Cecelia Carey Pemberton. She was a 1949 graduate of Ironton High School and a faithful member of the Sedgwick United Methodist Church, a Parish of Resurrection Hope of Ironton.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 49 years, Elwood Wade; her brothers, John and Richard Pemberton and sisters, Rose Bloomfield and Jean Diamond.
Donna is survived by her daughter, Patty Wade of Ironton; daughter and son-in-law, Nancy and Tom Lewis of Ironton; son and daughter-in-law, Ron and Cindy Wade of Ironton; sister and brother-in-law, Phyllis and Bob Steenbergen of Ashland, Ky.; sister-in-law, Helen Pemberton of Ironton; and three grandchildren, Chad Lewis of New York, N.Y., Megan Wade, and Lauren Wade, both of Ironton.
A funeral service will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Tracy Brammer Funeral Home with Pastors Todd Wallace and Willard Metz officiating. Interment will follow at Woodland Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to the Sedgwick United Methodist, P.O. Box 332, Ironton, Ohio 45638.
