CORA HORN

Mrs. Cora Evelyn Horner Horn, 76, of Ironton, went to be with her Lord, Saturday, June 27, 2009, from Cabell Huntington Hospital, Huntington, W. Va.
She was born Dec. 9, 1932 the daughter of the late Charles “Bud” and Christine Horner. She graduated from Green Township Schools and was a lifelong member of the Ohio Furnace Enterprise Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Henry Cecil Horn, whom she married Dec.24, 1959; one son, Earl Horn; one brother, Homer Horner and three sisters: Bertha Brown, Christine Horner and Betty Horner.
She is survived by two daughters, Teresa (Dave) Sanders of Flatwoods, Ky., and Rhonda Gibson of Columbus; one son, John (Norma) Horn of Columbus; five grandchildren, Mandy Drumm, Justin Santos, Ashley Horn, Jessica Gibson and Heather Gibson; five brothers, Clarence (Julia) Horner, Jerry (Edna) Horner, Paul Horner, Charles Horner, Jr., David Horner and one sister, Thelma Sprouse, sister-in-law Loretta Horner and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be conducted at 11a.m. Thursday at the Ohio Furnace Enterprise Baptist Church with the Rev. Larry Lavender officiating. Internment will follow at Buckeye Cemetery. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the Tracy Brammer Funeral Home.
