SOUTH POINT — Leah Rosemary Miller, 80, of South Point, passed away Thursday, July 16, 2009, at her residence.
The Ashland, Ky., native was born Sept. 27, 1928, the daughter of the late William Harrison Walters and Oma Ellen Smith Walters. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Joe Miller.
Mrs. Miller attended South Point schools, was a self-employed seamstress and a homemaker. She attended the Lick Creek Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, William Walters and David Walters and her twin sister, Laura Walters.
She is survived by a son, William H. Miller of Warsaw, Ind.; a daughter and son-in-law, Jo Ann and Jay Lyon of Ironton; a son, Bobby Joe Miller of South Point; a son, Doug Miller of Warsaw, Ind.; a daughter, Mary Ellen Miller of South Point; a daughter and son-in-law, Pamela Sue and Sam Davidson of South Point grandsons: Doug, Chad and Brandy Miller, all of Warsaw, Ind., Wayne and Melinda Lyon of North Webster, Ind.; Shawn and Shane Lyon, both of Ironton; Kenny and Missy Webb and Samuel Davidson, all of South Point; and Christopher Miller of Warsaw, Ind.; a granddaughter, Misty Rose Davidson of South Point; and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be noon Monday at Lick Creek Baptist Church with Pastor Mike Dement officiating. There will be a private burial in Miller Family Cemetery.
