On Thursday March 27 The Concerned Citizens of the Burlington Area hosted a “Meet the Candidate Night” for the upcoming Primary election.

We were honored with the presence of three individuals representing candidates running for Ohio’s Sixth Congressional District along with the four candidates seeking Lawrence County’s Commissioner seat.

Also, we were privileged to have three candidates that were running unopposed.

Although, I conducted the chore of contacting all the candidates and emceeing this event, this would have been a difficult program if it weren’t for the efforts of our Vic-President Tamara Howard Jones, Secretary Sandra Riley, and Hostess Margaret Pennington.

I am extremely thankful for all the help I receive from these individuals time and time again. It takes active volunteers like these to keep The Concerned Citizens of the Burlington Area as vibrant as it is.

Our gratitude also goes out to Mylissa Bentley, principal of Burlington Elementary School, for allowing us to use the school as a venue for this event year after year.
