Minford grabs win over Redmen

PEDRO — The Minford Falcons outscored Rock Hill 19-7 in the third quarter and beat the Redmen 66-44 on Saturday.
Austin Collins had 19 points, five rebounds and five steals for Rock Hill (2-15).
Kenton Gullion had 18 points to lead Minford (10-8). Brandon Rowe added 13 and Jared McCray 12.
Rowe and McCary six points each in the first quarter as Minford took a 20-8 lead. Collins had six of Rock Hill’s points.
Collins scored eight points in the second quarter as the Redmen outscored the Falcons 13-12 and trailed 32-21 at the half.
But Gullion had 10 points in the third quarter and Rowe scored seven and the Falcons pulled away to a 51-28 lead.
Chance Blankenship scored seven points in the fourth quarter as the Redmen outscored the Falcons 16-15.
Rock Hill hosts River Valley Tuesday in a make-up game.
