IPD helps nab ‘Most Wanted’ offender

With help from the Ironton Police Department, another of Lawrence County’s Most Wanted probation violators was captured last week.

Phillip Yates, 22, was arrested Dec. 23 after the IPD received a tip on the man’s whereabouts, Detective Joe Ross said.

“We had tips he was here (in Ironton),” Ross said. “(APA Chief Carl) Bowen went with us.”

Ross said the IPD’s new special response team made the arrest in the 300 block of Washington Street.

Yates is on probation for an intimidation conviction.

Paul Price Jr., 38, on probation for an attempted rape conviction, was arrested Dec. 27.

Jeremy McClellan, 27, on probation for burglary and breaking and entering convictions, was arrested Dec. 20.

This week’s list of Lawrence County’s Most Wanted are:

-— Richard Cremeans II, 38, last known to be living in Chesapeake. He is on probation for possession of cocaine and obstructing justice convictions. He failed to report to the adult probation department, prompting a warrant to be issued. He is 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighs 211 pounds. He has brown hair and hazel eyes.

— Nicole Bailey, 28, last known to be living in Huntington, W.Va. She is on probation for a complicity to theft conviction. She failed to report to the adult probation department, prompting a warrant to be issued. She is 5 feet 5 inches tall and weighs 225 pounds. She has blonde hair and blue eyes.

— Dennis Walters, 34, last known to be living in Scottown. He is on probation for a breaking and entering conviction. He failed to report to the adult probation department, prompting a warrant to be issued. He is 6 feet 2 inches tall and weighs 180 pounds. He has brown hair and blue eyes.

— Jay Hutchinson, 34, last known to be living in Franklin Furnace. He is on probation for conspiracy, burglary and complicity to burglary convictions. He failed to report to the adult probation department, prompting a warrant to be issued. He is 6 feet tall and weighs 185 pounds. He has brown hair and blue eyes.
