When an adult looks in the driveway at his automobile, several things may come to mind. Those thoughts can include the way to work, vacation, or just a tool to take a drive and get away from everyday stresses.

This is the same for a child who has a bicycle. Children look at a bike as their vehicle that can take them around the world.

Two years ago when the organizers started this project, no one would have known the growth within that time period.

However, this is not a singular effort, as many local businesses and individuals have made this venture successful.

All involved should be applauded for their efforts and providing something that can make a difference in a child’s life.

Although the project culminates this Saturday when the bikes will be distributed to deserving children, we encourage everyone to not single out the holidays.

Helping those in need should be a year-long aspiration. Whether it is helping with material items or simply giving your time, anything you can do may change a person’s life.
