Mr. and Mrs. Claus part of Ironton’s ‘Small
Business Saturday’
Even Santa and Mrs. Claus can’t resist attending the “Small Business Saturday” event set for this Saturday.
The Clauses will arrive at 9 a.m. at Depot Square municipal parking lot via the Tri-State Transit Authority and will be available to visit with children at the Transit Center located at 223 S. Third St. until 11:30 a.m.
“The TTA Trolley bus will be running a shuttle downtown on Second and Third streets for shoppers and kids who would like to have a ride on the trolley to and from their favorite stores,” according to Ironton Mayor Rich Blankenship. “Just flag the trolley down and it will stop and give you a ride.”
While some children are visiting with Santa, Mrs. Claus will help other children decorate their personal sugar cookies and other candy. The Transit Café will serve hot chocolate during Santa’s visit.
“Children can take free photos with Santa,” Blankenship said. “Photos will be available for pick up that day.”
Both children and adults who visit Santa will receive a special goodie bag.
