Two South Point residents accused of working together to sell heroin were arraigned in Lawrence County Common Pleas Court Wednesday, while an alleged cohort was a no-show.

Elvis Rister, 38, of 109 Garden Court, was arraigned on an eight-count indictment. The charges were four fifth-degree counts of trafficking in drugs, fifth-degree possession of drugs, fifth-degree possession of criminal tools, second-degree possession of drugs and second-degree trafficking in drugs (Fentanyl patches).

Rister pleaded not guilty to all the charges.

Judge D. Scott Bowling continued a $25,000 bond sent in a lower court and added a $25,000 own-recognizance and property bond. A pretrial was set for Nov. 27.

Tabitha L. Fulks, 36, of the same address, was arraigned on two fifth-degree counts of permitting drug abuse and a misdemeanor count of endangering children.

According to the indictment, Tabitha Fulks is the owner of the home and a vehicle that was used for the drug trafficking.

Bowling set a $10,000 own-recognizance bond and set a pretrial for Nov. 27.

Dustin Tyler Fulks, of the same address and a co-defendant in the case, was scheduled to be arraigned, but did not appear in court.

Bowling issued a bench warrant for the man’s appearance.
