Chesy VB continues busy schedule

CHESAPEAKE — Three seems to be the pattern for the Chesapeake Lady Panthers.
Chesapeake played three volleyball matches last week and has three more scheduled this week.
On Monday, the Lady Panthers topped Symmes Valley in straight sets, 25-21, 25-20, 25-20. Carrie Brock had 18 points and Mariah Freyre 16 to lead Chesapeake.
In the reserve match, Kelsey Huff had 14 points and Jozy Jones 9 as Chesapeake won 25-16, 25-9.
The Lady Panthers lost to Coal Grove Tuesday in an Ohio Valley Conference match.
Coal Grove won in four well-played sets, 15-25, 25-15, 25-22 and 25-21. Lindsey Blake had 20 points and Meredith Cravens 15 to pace Chesapeake.
The Lady Panthers won the jayvee match 25-19, 25-16. Kaylee Curry had 10 points and McKenna Curry and Jones 8 each to lead Chesapeake.
Thursday was another OVC match with River Valley winning in straight sets, 25-12, 25-20, 25-23.
Blake and Huff topped the Lady Panthers with 8 points each.
Chesapeake won the reserve match 25-20, 25-15 as Kaylee Curry scored 12 points and Kelsey Huff 10.
Among its three games this week, Chesapeake hosts Rock Hill at 5:30 Tuesday in their annual “Volley For The Cure.” All donations, T-shirt sales and raffle proceeds will be given to the American Cancer Society.
