Ladies 9-Hole begins season Tuesday

PINE GROVE — First, it will be tea time and then it will be tee time.
The Ladies Nine Hole Golf Association of the Ironton Country Club held an enjoyable outing in a Huntington (W.Va.) tea room in March. Those attending were Nancy Livingston, Betty Fraley, Pat Lambert, Sharon Fox, Midge Payne, Sue Ball, pat Riggs, Judy Brose, Johnna Jones and Joyce Fields.
Next up will be the club’s first session on Tuesday as the new season begins with a meeting at 9:30 a.m. in the clubhouse followed by golfing events at 10.
Members are to bring a covered dish for a potluck luncheon following the golf events.
Some new ideas will be presented at a short business meeting in the pro shop.
New members are welcome. A special recognition was made to the calling committee of Cecilia Woods and Fields for keeping everyone informed.
