Bobcat Hustle 5K set for March 23

Bobcats have a top speed of 34 miles per hour, a little more than 10 mph faster than Jamaican sprinter Usain Bolt, who has maxed out at 23.35 mph.

While no one is expected to match either feline or Olympic gold medalist at the second annual Bobcat Hustle 5K Run/Walk on March 23, it is still expected to be a good run for a good cause.

“We received lots of positive comments from the runners and walkers who participated last year,” Tim Mollett, Spanish language professor, said. “This year the Ohio University Southern Wellness Committee has decided to donate the proceeds of the Bobcat Hustle to the Ohio Horse Park Center for Therapeutic Horsemanship. We are continuing our support of this program because we are in the process of raising $35,000 to build an arena so we can continue working with children, teens and veterans with challenges.”
