South Point Elementary kindergartner Mariah Pleasant, 5, raises her drawing of what she would like her new school to look like if voters in her district pass a school levy next Tuesday. Students, teachers and parents braved cold weather Saturday morning to parade through the village to raise awareness about the costs and benefits of new schools. South Point voters will decide next week if they will provide the matching funds necessary to get the state money to build new elementary and high schools and to remodel the existing high school into a new middle school.
