Gregory Scarlotti

April 20, 1962-Jan. 15, 2013

Gregory Richard Scarlotti, 50, of Kitts Hill, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2013, at King’s Daughters Medical Center in Ashland, Ky. The Pontiac, Mich., native was born April 20, 1962, the son of the late Richard Melvin and Delores Grace Meilkie Scarlotti. He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Debby Louise Remy Scarlotti.

Greg was a 1981 graduate of Our Lady of Lakes High School in Pontiac, Mich. and Collins Career Center with the Law Enforcement Program. He was a former officer for the Village of Chesapeake and was a Deputy Sheriff with the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department for 21 years. He was of the Lutheran faith.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter: Ashley Scarlotti and her partner, Linda Martinez of Ashland, Ky.; a son, Corey Scarlotti of South Point; a brother, Mike Bishop of Pontiac; a sister, Shannon Hutchinson of Pontiac; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Barbara and Cecil Riggs of Coal Grove; two sisters-in-law, Carol Malone and her husband, David of Kitts Hill and Barbara Malone of Coal Grove; a brother-in-law, Charles Remy and his wife, Sonya of Westwood, Ky.; a grandson, Gabriel Scarlotti of Ironton; nephews, Randy Wise, Dylan Malone, Ryan Malone, Charlie Remy, Connor Justice nieces: Carlie Remy, Kodeigh Malone, Emma Remy, Sophie Remy and Chloe Justice; and a special friend, Julia Jones of Pedro.

Memorial service will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Phillips Funeral Home with Rev. Jeff Cremeans officiating. Friends may call Saturday from noon until the time of the service at the funeral home.
