Monday

Elizabeth Township will have its organizational meeting at 6:30 p.m. Monday at the Pedro Fire Station.

Union Township trustees will have their organizational meeting Monday at 6:30 p.m. at the Lawrence County Municipal Court in Chesapeake. The regular monthly meeting will follow at 7 p.m.

Lawrence Chapter OES No. 437 will have its stated meeting Monday at 7:30 p.m. at the Ironton Masonic Temple. Cora Roach, worthy matron, and Carl Dilley, worthy patron, will preside. There will be initiation work. Officers wear long dress of your choice. Fellowship and refreshments will follow, with hostesses Eleanor Dickess, Beatrice Conhehan and Rita Brubaker.

Ironton High School Class of 1947 monthly ladies’ luncheon will be Monday at 12:30 p.m. at the Ashland Plaza Hotel.

Mason Township trustees will have their organizational meeting at 7 p.m. Monday at the Mason Township grange.

Hanging Rock Village Council will hold its organizational meeting at 7 p.m. Monday at the community building.

Proctorville Village Council will hold its first meeting of the new year at 7 p.m. Monday at the town hall.

Chesapeake Village Council members will have their first meeting of the new year at 7:30 p.m. Monday at the town hall.

Ironton High School Class of 1946 will have a luncheon meeting at noon on Monday at the Heritage House in Coal Grove.

Tuesday

Ironton High School Class of 1960 will meet at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Fletcher House in Russell, Ky.

Ironton High School Band Boosters will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday in Room 25 at Ironton High School.

South Point Village Council will hold its regular and organizational meeting Tuesday at 6 p.m. at village hall.

Rock Hill Local School District will have a tax budget hearing Tuesday at 9 a.m.

Rock Hill Band Booster will meet Tuesday at 7 p.m. in the Rock Hill High School Band Room.

Upper Township trustees will have a special meeting regarding fire department issues at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the fire house.

Chesapeake Branch of the Briggs Lawrence County Public Library will have preschool story time at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday for ages 3-5. Also, there will be a Pokemon Card trading day on Saturday from 10 a.m. until noon.

The Briggs Lawrence County Public Library Board will meet Tuesday at 5 p.m. in the meeting room at the main library.

Ironton High School classes of 1937 and 1938 will have their regular monthly luncheon at the Elks 12:30 p.m. Jan. 6.

Washington Township trustees will have their organizational and regular meeting at 8 a.m. Jan. 8 at Blackfork School.

City of Ironton Sanitation Department will run garbage routes on the regular schedule for the New Year’s holiday.

The Dawson-Bryant School District’s tax budget is now on file at the treasurer’s office and available for public view.

Lawrence County Agricultural Society membership tickets are now on sale and can be purchased at Jack’s Hardware in Proctorville and Morris Barber Shop in Ironton.

Chesapeake Board of Education will meet Jan. 6 at the middle school library at 7:10 p.m. beginning with the organizational meeting. The budget hearing and regular monthly meeting will follow.

Ironton Board of Education will have a tax budget hearing Jan. 10 at noon at the treasurer’s office for the fiscal year beginning July 7. The budget will be available for review in the treasurer’s office beginning Jan. 10.

Ironton City Schools will have an organizational meeting Jan. 10 at 6 p.m. at the administration Building.

Fairland Local Board of Education will hold its organizational meeting Jan. 10 at 7:30 p.m. at Fairland East Elementary. The tax budget hearing will be at 7 p.m.

Dawson-Bryant Local Board of Education will have a hearing Jan. 10 at 5 p.m. at the board office for the fiscal year tax budget commencing July 1. The hearing will be followed at 6 p.m. by a special and organizational board meeting.
