"It was a good game. We got a lot of kids in who normally don’t play, so that was good experience," Green coach Melissa Brown said. "Kristalyn (Harlock) stepped in and did a nice job, especially for a freshman. She adjusted well.

"Samantha Jenkins has been out since the second game with a stress fracture, so she’ll give us some depth inside. She’s just a freshman but she has a lot of talent."

The veterans have plenty of talent, too. Megan Tackett enjoyed a triple-double performance as she scored 28 points, handed out 10 assists, and came up with 12 assists.

Jennifer Cline had 19 points and seven rebounds, Emily Horsely added 10 points, and Harlock handed out four assists.

"Megan didn’t play selfish. She played a good game all-around. She got a lot of points off her steals," said Brown. "It was a good game. We got a lot of kids in who normally don’t play, so that was good experience."

Green improved to 7-3 overall and leads the SOC at 5-0.

Cline had 10 points the first quarter as Green jumped out to a commanding 24-8 lead.

Up 36-18 at the half, Tackett poured in 16 points the third quarter as Green built an insurmountable 56-30 lead.
