Harmon, Ironton’s 6-foot senior guard, scored 13 points and turned in a stellar all-around performance to earn Most Valuable Player honors in helping the Division III-IV District 13 All-Star beat the Div. I-II team 67-51 Monday at the University of Rio Grande.

Jason Will of Eastern had 15 points and Chris Randolph of Southern 13 for Div. III-IV. Eric Waginger of Ironton St. Joe and Jay Capper of Fairland scored six each, Adam Pemberton of Chesapeake had four, and Ironton St. Joe’s John "Bub" Waginger added two.

South Point’s B. J. Ferrell had 11 points to lead the Div. I-II team. Rock Hill’s Tanner Heaberlin scored six and Brent McCoy two.

Harmon also won the slam dunk contest held between the boys and girls all-star games. Kyle Norris of Alexander won the 3-point goal shooting contest for the boys and Katie McBroom of Logan took the girls 3-point contest.

The Div. III-IV team led just 35-29 at the half as Will scored 12 points. Harmon had nine of his points the first half while Ferrell scored seven to keep the Div. I-II stars close.

But Randolph hit three shots from behind the arc, Capper had all six of his points, and Harmon and Pemberton scored four each as the Div. III-IV stars began to pull away.
