RIO GRANDE – You don’t always get what you want. Unless you’re Jessica Butler.
The Green Lady Bobcats senior softball pitcher accomplished one of her goals when she signed a letter-of-intent to play for the University of Rio Grande Redwomen.
"It was really exciting," Butler said of her signing. "This was something I’ve always wanted to do, and now I’m glad it’s happened."
Butler made it happen by putting together a strong high school career for Green, pitching the Lady Bobcats to the Division III regional semifinals the past two seasons.

Butler was first team All-Southern Ohio Conference, Division I SOC co-player of the year, first team all-district, and honorable mention All-Ohio. She also was the recipient of the Dolores Billhart Memorial Award given by the Ohio High School Athletic Association.
"We are extremely pleased and extremely proud of Jessica’s accomplishments," Green coach Jodi Armstrong said. "Jessica is a shining example of what desire
