The Ironton City Water Department has turned off water due to a hydrant failure on Tuesday November 6th.  The affected areas include Deep Cut Road, Yellow Branch Road, Ironton hills area, and Lawrence Street.  Restoration could take several hours but should be back on this evening, and customers should boil their water vigorously for at least one full minute prior to using it for drinking or cooking, and should do this for 24 hours after service is restored according to the City Water Department.
