Two Lawrence County residents face years of prison time and more than $40,000 in fines after court appearances last week.

Two drug suspects, in separate cases, entered guilty pleas in Lawrence County Common Pleas Court, prosecutor J.B. Collier Jr. said.

Kevin Adkins, 31, formerly of South 10th Street in Ironton, pleaded guilty to two counts aggravated trafficking in drugs, fourth-degree felonies; three counts trafficking in drugs, fifth-degree felonies; aggravated trafficking in drugs, second-degree felony; and aggravated trafficking in drugs, third degree felony.

He was sentenced to a total of three years in prison plus a total of $21,250 in fines and 18 months driver’s license suspension. He received credit for time served.

Frances Harris, 41, 213 High St., Coal Grove, pleaded guilty Wednesday to counts of aggravated trafficking in drugs, second- and third-degree felonies, and complicity to aggravated trafficking in drugs, third-degree felony.

She was sentenced to three years in prison total for all charges, 18 months driver’s license suspension and court costs. She reports to prison Nov. 1.

Total fine levied was $20,000.

Other cases heard in court:

– John Wright, 31, County Road 5, Kitts Hill, pleaded guilty to two counts passing bad checks, fifth-degree felonies.

Wright was sentenced to five years community control sanctions under intensive supervised probation. Full restitution has been paid.

– Daniel Carlisle, 23, 726 S. Ninth St., Ironton, pleaded guilty to four counts of criminal non-support, fifth-degree felonies.

Carlisle was sentenced to three years community control sanctions under intensive supervised probation, plus 60 days in jail. He was ordered to continue to pay child support.

– Joe Inscoe, 20, of 80 County Road 408, Proctorville, pleaded guilty to breaking and entering, fifth-degree felony.

He was sentenced to three years community control sanctions under intensive supervised probation, including six months in the county jail, with credit for 34 days served.

The case related to a breaking and entering that occurred at Blake’s Market on Ohio 775.

– Joyce Ann McGlone, 46, of 204 Chestnut St., Apt. 1, Ironton, pleaded guilty to illegal processing of drug documents, fifth-degree felony. She was sentenced to three years community control sanctions, with two days credit for time served, and court costs.
