A former pharmacy technician at CVS will be under the watchful eye of the Adult Probation Department after being sentenced for stealing more than 4,000 prescription pills from the store Wednesday in Lawrence Count Common Pleas Court.

Levenna Fairchild, 32, of 4668 State Route 650, Ironton, pleaded guilty to three fourth-degree counts of theft of drugs and one count of fourth degree possession of drugs.

The indictment stated from May 2011 to Jan. 4, 2012, Fairchild stole a total of 4,382 pills, which included phentermine and hydrocodone. She was working as a pharmacy tech during the time of the thefts.

Judge D. Scott Bowling sentenced Fairchild to four years community control sanctions under intensive supervised probation.

A condition of her CCS is six months at the Linda Center. Bowling reserved 17 months in prison if she violates any of the conditions of her probation.

The woman was also ordered to pay restitution to CVS in the amount of $3,356.

In other cases:

• James McClaskey, 41, of 3286, State Route 373, Pedro, pleaded guilty to third-degree driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

Bowling sentenced the man to 18 months in prison, ordered him to pay a $2,000 fine, suspended his driver’s license for five years and ordered him to pay his court costs.

• Terren Jenkins, 20, of 256 Private Drive 4949 County Road 52, Ironton, was arraigned on a bill of information of misdemeanor counts of domestic violence, theft, aggravated menacing and a felony count of theft. Jenkins pleaded guilty to the charges through his attorney J.T. Holt.

Bowling sentenced Jenkins to four years CCS/ISP and 15 months in the county jail suspended, which will run concurrently.

Jenkins must also successfully complete the STAR Community Justice Center program, complete 200 hours of community service and pay $240 in restitution.

• Ashley Poff, 26, of 217B Township Road 1430, South Point, pleaded guilty to fifth-degree counts of breaking and entering, theft and forgery.

Bowling sentenced the woman to four years CCS/ISP and she must successfully complete the STAR program. Poff must also pay $890 in restitution to Jerry’s Pay Lake. If she violates her CCS, she could go to prison for 22 months.

• Oscar Cremeans, 40, of 807 First St. Apt 1, Chesapeake, admitted CCS violations that he failed to report to adult probation.

Bowling sentenced Cremeans to eight months in prison, after which time his CCS commitment would be complete.

• Samuel Butler, 45, of 96 Private Drive 2151, South Point, pleaded guilty and was sentenced for fifth-degree failure to provide change of address.

Bowling sentenced the man to six months in prison.
