CHESAPEAKE – There has been a history of outstanding athletes and coaches at Chesapeake High School. Now, there will be a Hall of Fame in their honor.
Chesapeake will unveil is first Hall of Fame class during ceremonies prior to Friday’s home game against River Valley.
The names will be part of a Wall of Fame near the high school gym and will honor former players and coaches who have enjoyed outstanding careers.
The first induction class will include:
Jerry Gillen (1952), Mark Wilks (1970), Sonny Stowers (1962), Bob Harris (1954), Jim Hall (1962), Tamara Wood (1977), Charles Wolfe (1967), Gilbert Smith (1949), George Hairston (1960), Jack Finch (1970), Mike Curry (1964), Herndon Wilkes (coach), Dan Russell (coach), Lewis D’Antoni (coach), and Dave Smith (coach).
