MERCERVILLE – When one goes down, one steps up.
With starter Jessica Myers missing due to an illness, freshman Lisa Floyd filled in well as the Symmes Valley Lady Vikings beat the South Gallia Lady Rebels 37-21 Monday in a non-league game.

After a slow start by both teams that had the Vikings up 3-2 as the end of the first quarter, Bell scored seven points the second quarter and Symmes Valley went up 19-12 at the half.
