PINE GROVE — With two of the top individual scores, the Chesapeake Panthers posted the best team score in winning the Ironton Invitational on Monday.

Nick Duffield took medalist honors as he shot a 72 to lead the Panthers who had a 309 score to easily outdistance the field.

Coal Grove’s Brent Morgan finished just one shot behind Duffield with a 74. Shayne Stevens shot a 76 for the Panthers to place third.

Portsmouth was second overall with a 336 score followed by Jackson with a 353, Coal Grove 361, Ironton 386, South Point 440 and Rock Hill 502.

Travis Taylor led Ironton with an 89. Rhett Ball was next with a 96, Jaylen Thornhill carded a 99 and Luke Diamond had a 102.
