KALAMAZOO, Mich. -- Anthony Kann scored a career-high 30 points as Western Michigan overcame an 11-point deficit to beat Marshall 79-75 Wednesday night.

Western's Rickey Willis also hit a career high 10 points, all of them in the last four minutes. His first 3-pointer gave Western a 67-66 lead with 3:45 left and the Broncos (13-6, 5-5 Mid-American) never trailed after that.

Ronald Blackshear scored 20 of his 28 points in the second half for Marshall (9-10, 5-6), which had led 42-31 with 18 minutes left in the game after scoring the first nine points of the second half.

But the Thundering Herd, which lost its fourth consecutive game for the first time in five seasons, couldn't contain Western's powerful inside game.

Junior forward Mike Williams scored 25 points. Williams and Kann each had 12 rebounds. Kann, a junior center, scored eight points during a 15-0 run that gave Western a 46-42 lead with 13:58 left.

Kann had four 3-point plays as the Broncos converted 26-of-30 free-throw attempts. Marshall was 14-of-16.

Marshall head coach Greg White was hit with a technical foul at 2:24 when Monty Wright was whistled for fouling Willis on a 3-point play.

Robby Collum's free throw put the Broncos up by four and the Herd never got closer than three after that.
