Four Ironton High School students placed either first or second in the Symmes Valley Vikings Invitational Weightlifting Meet.

Seniors Bryan Hopper and Tyler Whaley took first place in their weight classes while juniors Robin Fout and Jeremy Akers were second.

Hopper won the 145-pound division with a 255 bench press and 350 pound deadlift.

Whaley was first in the unlimited class with a 400 pound bench and 535 deadlift.

Fout was second in the 225-pound division with a 265 bench press and 425 deadlift. Akers, also in the unlimited class, was second with a 325 bench and 530 deadlift.
