The Ironton High School athletic department managed to catch Redgie Arden and Mark Snyder in a moment of relaxation Friday night.

Arden, who was a freshman tight end for the Ohio State Buckeyes, and Snyder, the linebacker coach who was instrumental in calling defenses, were given plaques commemorating their part in the 2002 national championship season.

"It's been great, but we're already back at work," Arden said. "I got a couple of days off to see the boys (basketball team) and the girls play, then it's back to school and workouts."

Snyder said it has been a hectic time trying to fit in various championship celebrations and recruiting. But he wasn't complaining.

"I've been busy, but I'd rather have it this way. I wouldn't mind winning a championship every year," Snyder said.

Arden played on special teams and was used in some spot duty at tight end. He caught four passes for 50 yards including one for 19 yards.
