WAYNE, W.Va. — The Fairland Lady Dragons lost a 5-1 softball decision to the Wayne Lady Pioneers.

Fairland (4-7) had six hits against the Lady Pioneers led by Sashe Burcham who went 2-3 with a double and drove in the Lady Dragons only run. Jaimie Phillips also went 2-3 while Chelsea Stanley and Amber Bias were 1-3. Bias also had a double.

Burcham took the loss as she allow 12 hits, struck out one and did not walk a batter.

Fairland plays at South Point Wednesday in an Ohio Valley Conference game.
