First Baptist hosts sports collection, jewelry show and hot dog sale

Have a hot dog, buy a ring and view some sports memorabilia.
First Baptist Church of Ironton will host the sports collection of John Carpenter 11 a.m.-6 p.m. Saturday at the church’s Faith and Fitness Center. The cost is $3 for adults, children 18 years of age and under get in free.
At the same time, the church will host a sale of Sally’s Purses and Things and baked goods and hot dogs.
“This is just to draw people in. The proceeds benefit the Faith and Fitness Center and the (Lawrence County) Historical Society,” Faith and Fitness Center President Mike Dickess said. “We’ll be grilling hot dogs, and we’ll have chips and maybe some nachos and brownies and pop.”
The jewelry sale features items that are $5 or less. The jewelry and food will be available at the church fellowship hall.
