Three men pleaded guilty last week to charges against them during appearances in Lawrence County Common Pleas Court.

Thomas Moore, 20, of 312 1/2 S. Eighth St., Ironton, pleaded guilty on a bill of information to one count of failure to notify authorities of change of address.

Judge D. Scott Bowling sentenced Moore to four years community control sanctions under intensive supervised probation (CCS/ISP) and 30 days in jail. Moore is a registered sex offender and, as such, is legally required to tell the sheriff’s office if he moves.

By pleading guilty on a bill of information, Moore bypasses a grand jury inquiry and a trial in common pleas court, admits his guilt and accepts punishment.

Carl Taylor, 19, of 2220 N. Seventh St., Ironton, pleaded guilty on a bill of information to one count of receiving stolen property.

Bowling sentenced Taylor to four years CCS/ISP and 200 hours of community service.

Ronald Patrick, 46, of 287 Township Road 616, South Point, pleaded guilty on a bill of information to three counts of aggravated trafficking in drugs.

Bowling ordered a pre-sentence investigation. Patrick will be sentenced June 6.
