Men accused in Giovanni’s robberies indicted

Two men charged earlier this month for their parts in the robberies at two Giovanni's restaurants have been indicted by a Lawrence County grand jury.

Jason D. Ackerson, 23, of 105 Center St., South Point, was indicted on two counts of complicity to aggravated robbery.

Another alleged accomplice, Robert Erwin, 24, of 501 S. Ninth St., Ironton, was also indicted on two counts of complicity to aggravated robbery.

Both men are accused of being involved in the robbery of Judy's Giovanni's and the Giovanni's in Aid, both of which occurred in August.

Three men arrested last month in connection with several recent burglaries and break-ins were also indicted.

Keith Camp, 34, of 1098 Mead St., Proctorville, was charged with attempt to commit burglary at one residence and the burglary of two others as well as two counts of grand theft.

An alleged accomplice, Randy Camp, 33, of 1717 S. Third St., Ironton was indicted on one count each of attempt to commit burglary, theft from the elderly, grand theft and two counts of burglary.

The third man, William Sexton, 20, of 629 S. Eighth St., Ironton, was indicted on one count each of attempt to commit burglary and theft from the elderly as well as two counts of burglary.

They were arrested last month in connection with a burglary attempt in rural Lawrence County on State Route 141 and a burglary in Rome Township. Lawrence County Sheriff Tim Sexton said at that time the men were also being investigated in connection with thefts occurring at new home construction sites in the eastern end of the county.

drug raid on an alleged crack house was also indicted by the grand jury. Jerome McGhee, 24, of 1505 Lawrence St., Apt. D-7, was indicted on two counts of trafficking in cocaine, having a weapon under a disability and possession of criminal tools, all felonies, as well as possession of drug paraphernalia and two counts of possession of drugs, all misdemeanors.

There were four secret indictments, all drug-related.

Cheri Cantere, 44, Raceland Ky., four counts of theft of drugs and four counts of illegally processing drug documents.

Donny Cremeans, 25, 1365 Old U.S. 52, South Point, one count each of burglary and theft.

Clinton Cremeans, 24, 1365 Old U.S. 52, South Point, receiving stolen property.

Suzanne Singer, 37, 1365 Old U.S. 52, receiving stolen property.

Tyree Hancock, 22, Columbus, trafficking in cocaine in the vicinity of a school.

Jeffrey A. Akers, 24, Catlettsburg, Ky., possession of cocaine, possession of criminal tools, both felonies, and possession of drug paraphernalia, a misdemeanor.

Fannie Campbell, 42, 40 Yellow Branch Road, Ironton, permitting drug abuse.

Misti Spencer, 28, 705 Depot Square, Ironton, six counts of permitting drug abuse.

Gregg Hill, 1125 South Seventh St., Apt. D, Ironton, three counts of trafficking in cocaine

Frederick Stacy Jackson, 23, 705 Depot Square, Ironton, six counts of permitting drug abuse.

Shane Ball, 23, 105 Monroe St., South Point, four counts of trafficking in cocaine and one count of possession of criminal tools.

Leslie McClure, 46, 1114 South Sixth St., Ironton, six counts of trafficking in drugs, possession of cocaine and possession of criminal tools, all felonies, as well as possession of drug paraphernalia, a misdemeanor.

Jamie Mayhone, 23, 542 Delta Lane, illegally processing drug documents.

Paul Adkins, 26, Huntington, W.Va., breaking and entering.

Jason Finley, 27, of 227 County Road 104, Chesapeake, complicity to breaking and entering, failure to comply with the order and signal of a police officer.

Aaron Akers, 22, 525 Rockwood Avenue, Chesapeake, complicity to breaking and entering.

Leslie Akers, 26, 401 1/2 Riverside Drive, Chesapeake, complicity to breaking and entering.

Bradley Harrison, 313 Lorain St., Ironton, 19, attempt to commit burglary, Burglary and theft from the elderly.

Terry Clark Jr., 27, 312 C. Back Road, Ironton, failure to comply with the order or signal of a police officer.

Charles L. Smith, 2628 South Fourth St., Ironton, 30, grand theft auto.

Charles Schob,33, South Webster, carrying a concealed weapon.

Sheryl Logsdon, 33, 14565 State Route 93, Pedro, two counts of forgery.

Barbara Mollett, 43, 2041/2 Vernon St., Ironton, two counts of forgery.

Nicholas Dennany, 35, 1050 North Fifth St., Ironton, aggravated burglary.

Shawn Arthur, 19, 401 Center St., Ironton, burglary, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.

Jeffrey Shope, 43, 2434 South Eighth St., domestic violence, assault.

Dan Bean, 24, Covington, Ky., receiving stolen property.

Rodney Johnson, 22, Circleville, vandalism, breaking and entering, theft, vandalism of a police cruiser, attempt to commit assault on a police officer, escape, aggravated menacing.

Chris Patton, 29, of 448 Painter Creek Road, Pedro, two counts of theft.

Brian Benicker, 23, 5712 State Route 378 Willow Wood, grand theft, theft.

Danny R. Daniels, 43, 2988 State Route 243, Coal Grove, felonious assault with a firearms specification.

Joseph Chapman, 29, 106 Grant St., Proctorville, two counts of rape. The alleged victim was an 8-year-old boy. The incidents took place between May 1 and Sept. 1.

Joseph Meyers, 28, 269 Washington Ave., South Point, burglary, theft.

Jeff Gilley, 44, 269 Washington Ave., South Point, complicity to burglary, complicity to theft.
