COLUMBUS - Senior Velimir Radinovic, who led the Big Ten in field goal percentage, was selected as the most valuable player of Ohio State's basketball team.

The 7-foot center from Oakville, Ontario, averaged six rebounds and 10.3 points while starting in 29 of 30 games. He also led the Buckeyes with 22 blocks and finished eighth in school history with 61 career blocks.

Ohio State finished the season 14-16.

Other special award winners announced Wednesday included sophomore Ugo Nwankwo (academic excellence), sophomore Terence Dials (most improved) and senior Shaun Smith (most inspirational).
