Two Columbus men are behind bars for allegedly dealing crack cocaine and an Ironton woman is in jail for allegedly allowing these men to conduct the illegal activity from her house.

Damon J. Williams, 19, of Columbus, was arrested late Tuesday evening and charged with first-degree aggravated trafficking in crack cocaine.

Linda Rosebrough, 53, of 2506 S. Fourth St., is charged with permitting drug abuse, a fifth-degree felony.

Devane Brown, 25, of Columbus, is charged with two counts of

trafficking in crack cocaine, one a

fifth-degree felony, the other a third-degree felony.

Lawrence County Drug Task Force investigator David Marcum said Williams' and Rosebrough's arrests came after authorities, acting on a tip, searched Rosebrough's residence. Brown was arrested a short time later at a local bar on an outstanding warrant stemming from a secret indictment handed down by a Lawrence County grand jury earlier this month.

"We are hearing the people who call the drug hotline with information and we are doing our best to combat this problem," Marcum said.

During the raid on the Rosebrough residence, approximately 19 grams of crack was confiscated. The arrests were a joint effort by drug task force officials, Ironton police and Lawrence County Sheriff's deputies.

All three were taken to the Lawrence County Jail. Rosebrough and Williams are scheduled to appear today in Ironton Municipal Court; Brown is expected to appear sometime this week for arraignment in Lawrence County Common Pleas Court.
